NOVA^® is a cosy special needs stroller for people with locomotor disabilities. It is especially recommended for spastic users as well as those requiring additional stabilization. The deep seat provides a comfortable position in the stroller, which helps to correct posture defects and significantly prevents their deepening.

Numerous adjustments and a wide range of the accessories make it possible to adapt the stroller to the individual needs of the user. An adjustable footrest and the 3-step tilt-in-space function of the seat enable the users to travel in a comfortable position.

The stroller is easy to drive on both flat and uneven terrain. Thanks to its simple and lightweight design, the NOVA^® stroller can be easily folded for transportation. It takes up little space in the trunk due to its compact dimensions. The construction of the stroller allows you to adjust the distance between the wheel axles. They can be mounted widely to increase the stability of the stroller, or narrowly to increase the maneuverability.

The stroller is available in 3 sizes.

The wheels are equipped with a quick release system; after detaching the wheels, the stroller obtains even smaller dimensions and can be easily folded for transportation.

SmarTraction system makes it possible to change the position of the wheel axles. The wheels can be mounted closer to each other to achieve a greater maneuverability, or further for a greater stability.

The compact dimensions of the stroller and easy folding make it fit even into small car trunks.

The flex upholstery has three fixing points (backrest and sides of the stroller), thanks to which the seat responds to the movements of the user’s body, which is especially important in case of users with increased muscle tone, as it soothes the effects of spastic attacks.

INDICATIONS

It is recommended in the following cases:

Cerebral palsy (CP) – various types and forms.
Brain and spinal cord injuries of various etiologies with limb paresis, severe balance disturbances, and coordination impairments.
Demyelinating diseases (multiple sclerosis – MS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – ALS, and others).
Meningocele.
Muscle diseases with paresis and paralysis (including dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, polymyositis).
Genetic syndromes with limb paresis.
Degenerative and metabolic diseases of the nervous system.
Degenerative and rheumatic joint diseases.
Other diseases with limb paresis, paralysis, and musculoskeletal impairments.
After injuries, following traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries with limb paresis and paralysis, particularly with quadriplegia (as part of the rehabilitation process or as permanent orthopedic support).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Critical condition of the user,
Paralysis,
Deep sedation,
Unstable fractures with specific orthopedic recommendations, including spinal fractures,
Untreated deep vein thrombosis,
Hemodynamic instability,
Documented brain dysfunction while sitting in an upright position,
Severe inflammation of the cervical spine joints,
Pulmonary embolism,
Recent myocardial infarction within the last 24 hours,
Fresh postoperative wounds or non-healing wounds in the back, pelvic area, hip joints, and thighs,
Users with mental disorders should not be left unattended in the device.
