SICURO™ is an innovative rehabilitation seat designed to provide full comfort and postural support while ensuring mobility for the user. It facilitates everyday activities, making them more accessible for both children and their caregivers.

The seat’s functional design allows it to be used both on the floor and on a standard chair, making it a versatile solution for various daily tasks and playtime activities. Special cut-outs in the lateral supports and an openwork backrest enhance air circulation, which increases user comfort, helps prevent pressure sores in areas of high contact, and reduces moisture build-up by ensuring continuous ventilation of the body.

A wide range of adjustments and numerous stabilizing components—such as independent armrests, pelvic and trunk supports—allow for optimal positioning tailored to the individual needs of the user and enable the seat to grow with the child.

The seat features a contoured, deep-sitting design with an adjustable tilt-in-space function and a reclining backrest, offering excellent pelvic and trunk stability. Additionally, the seat base allows for positioning the legs in both adduction and abduction.

Reclining function

Tilt-in-space system

The seat features smooth tilt-in-space adjustment with a reclining backrest. This functionality is especially important for pressure relief and pressure sore prevention.

Compact form

Its compact form without protruding knobs or screws means the seat fits easily on various surfaces – chairs, armchairs, or strollers. Nothing sticks out or catches, making Sicuro™ exceptionally convenient for daily use and transport.

Versatile positioning

The seat can be easily placed on the floor, a chair, or an armchair – giving your child comfort and stability in various everyday environments, at home and on the go.

INDICATIONS

It is recommended in the following cases:

  • Cerebral palsy (CP) – various types and forms.
  • Brain and spinal cord injuries of various etiologies with limb paresis, severe balance disturbances, and coordination impairments.
  • Demyelinating diseases (multiple sclerosis – MS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – ALS, and others).
  • Meningocele.
  • Muscle diseases with paresis and paralysis (including dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, polymyositis).
  • Genetic syndromes with limb paresis.
  • Degenerative and metabolic diseases of the nervous system.
  • Degenerative and rheumatic joint diseases.
  • Other diseases with limb paresis, paralysis, and musculoskeletal impairments.
  • After injuries, following traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries with limb paresis and paralysis, particularly with quadriplegia (as part of the rehabilitation process or as permanent orthopedic support).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Critical condition of the user,
  • Paralysis,
  • Deep sedation,
  • Unstable fractures with specific orthopedic recommendations, including spinal fractures,
  • Untreated deep vein thrombosis,
  • Hemodynamic instability,
  • Documented brain dysfunction while sitting in an upright position,
  • Severe inflammation of the cervical spine joints,
  • Pulmonary embolism,
  • Recent myocardial infarction within the last 24 hours,
  • Fresh postoperative wounds or non-healing wounds in the back, pelvic area, hip joints, and thighs,
  • Users with mental disorders should not be left unattended in the device.
