DTR/DTE_173 AIR vest – 6-point
The AIR vest – 6-point helps maintain the user in a correct sitting position. It can be attached to the seat back using shoulder straps, which support external joint rotation and stabilize the shoulder girdle. This prevents the user from adopting a pathological flexion pattern of the upper limbs and reduces uncontrolled tendon reflexes.
Made of thick, perforated 3D knit fabric, the harness is breathable and gentle on sensitive skin, minimizing the risk of pressure sores or irritation.
The harness is fully adjustable in circumference, width, and shoulder strap length, allowing for a personalized fit. It ensures proper trunk alignment in a seated position, stabilizes the sternum, and limits excessive forward flexion. It also improves head control and facilitates swallowing and breathing.
A front zipper with safety buckles makes it easy to put on and take off the harness, even when used by individuals with limited awareness under caregiver supervision. The buckles serve as an additional safety feature in case of zipper failure.
